Root Canel needed during Chemo

Hi I am here on behalf of my mom! Does anyone have information regarding the need for dental work such as root Canal during chemotherapy? My mom just found out from her dentist she needs one and is in her 4th round of chemo. Tips or info appreciated! Thank you

    Amy - if she is not on biosphosphonates or something like Prolia for osteoperosis, she should be OK. That said, you should check with her oncologist. All doctors are different. Also questions her blood work. If that's way down, they may want to wait.

    It the dentist is not familiar with chemo patients, you might want to get a second opinion at a periodontist or an endodontist. That's where I went because they knew & researched everything about possible complications.
