Sex during chemo?

I had a list of questions to ask my oncologist, but I forgot all about this one!
After doing a lot of reading and research on my chemo treatment, I came across several articles that state you can't kiss or have sex 24-48 hours after chemo. Is this correct? Once that time frame has passed, will it be safe to engage in some intimate activities?
I do plan on asking my oncologist, but while I am thinking of it, I thought that I would ask here as well.

etnasgrl~ it is recommended you don't due to the toxicity of your body fluids for that time period. Most chemo meds are out of your system by 48 hrs so that's why they give that time frame. It's also recommended that you use a different toilet then other family members, if possible, during that time frame and to wipe the toilet seat and handle down after you use thre toilet during the 24-48 hrs to protect your skin and the skin of your loved ones.

    Best of luck with chemo!!
