Totally lost
Hello again everyone. Ive been here on the periphery given I thought I was done with my battle. Just found out I have a tumor in my left lung that it's believed to be metastatic from my breast cancer. The oncologist thinks that even though my breast tumor was very minimally estrogen positive that it was a triple negative though it was treated as a hormone positive. ACT chemo likely did nothing other then put me through hell.
Im so lost right now and don't know what to think. I want to be angry, I want to ball my eyes out but I feel numb.

Hi Katie, sorry you find yourself here again. Fwiw, I was being treated as triple neg when Stage 1 and ACT is pretty much the standard of care for it so that was a good hard attack on it. But cancer is wiley bastard.
There's a lung mets thread on the Stage IV forums. I'm only a bit ahead of you - found out about my lung met on Feb 10. If you're exp is like mine, get ready for many scans and biopsies. This is hard, not gonna lie, but we can hold each other's hands & pass the kleenex & stomp & punch & yell, and others asssure me that it does get a bit better so I guess we cling to that.hugs

ipenelope- I am so sorry to hear this. I remember your posts from this past summer (as I was going through chemo) as being so positive and uplifting. I know that you will use that wonderful attitude to deal with whatever this is.

((((HUGS)))) I hate cancer. I hate that you are dealing with this. Praying you have a treatment plan in place soon to deal with this. Do keep us posted. I am sorry you have to deal with this.

Ipenelope and Moth - I am so sorry for everything you are going through. It really sucks. Sending you prayers

I'm still going through my first cancer step, ACT chemo, but I'm sorry that you are going through this and you are in my prayers!
-
Katie and Moth, I am really sorry to hear this. Sending you hugs and prayers. How did you find out, do you have any symptoms?

Anxious,
I was having pain to middle left side of my sternum and had a really bad episode so requested a ct scan to make sure nothing was there and sadly the ct scan showed 2 areas in my left lung. I ended up having a wedge resection to left upper lobe and then had my left lower lobe completely removed 2 weeks ago Wed.
I was told my cancer changed to triple negative and I will be doing oral chemo and immunotherapy to treat it.
I hope everyone is doing good and staying safe and as healthy as possible!!
