Somewhat Worried
Hi, everyone. So I am 23 years old and I am a little worried about issues I have been having with my breasts. Over two years ago a rash appeared on one of my breasts. It looked really bad like bruising and red spots. I let it go and did not think much of it. I chalked it up to most likely being an issue with a bra, or allergy. I went to an urgent care for an ear infection and while I was there I also asked the nurse about the rash. She panicked (it was crazy) and mentioned it could be linked to a very serious issue. She told me to go see my family doctor ASAP. I scheduled with my family doctor that same week. The family doctor thought it was Vasculitis. I tried Zrtec to help it. The rash would go away/come back. It got really bad so and was bleeding so I went to see an OBGYN. She assured me it was just a skin issue, nothing major. She gave me a steroid. The rash went away for a while then came back. This repeated a lot. When I went to my yearly I brought it up to my OBGYN at my yearly. I was assured it was likely caused from a bra or something minor. I didn't think much of it until recently. This has been going on for two years now. Off and on the rash will appear, but lately it has come back badly on my left breast. I have had some pain, and it itches like crazy. It has felt this way for a few weeks. I have an appointment Monday with the same OBGYN I saw in the past. I thought about seeing a dermatologist, but I opted to see an OBGYN because I have had pain with it. I am not super worried as it doesn't sound like IBC or anything like that, but I just find what's happening to all be odd. Has anyone else had similar issues?

You should definitely see a dermatologist. That's the doc that specializes in skin.

I agree. You should go see a dermatologist.

Hi all, I’m 4 days away from getting the results of my biopsy. I have had mammograms , ultrasound, and biopsies every 2 years for the last 10 years (I’m only 38). This time was different. My Fibroadenoma in both breast have “massive “ blood flow which it never had before. I have multiple new lumps including one in my armpit which is what they took the biopsy from. The radiologist said to my husband and I that bilateral breast cancer is rare but it does happen, and just left it at that. My doctor scheduled a MRI as well which he has never done before. I’m scared out of my mind.

Amber - I am so sorry for everything you are going through. When is your MRI? I know the waiting can drive you crazy but you’ll get through this. Keep us posted and someone with a similar experience will guide you through. Sending positive prayers your way

My dr is trying to get it approved by my insurance so I’ll know more Thursday when I go in for my results from the biopsy. Thank you for the prayers!! I can definitely use all I can get 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Amber3514, you should start a new thread rather than piggybacking on this one, since people will have a hard time finding your post. Good luck to you.
Corgilover7, I second the dermatologist recommendation. They can do topical and punch biopsies to figure out what's going on.
Nonomimi5, that chart leaves out zero symptoms, which is what I had, and many others.

Yes. I had zero symptoms, too. But Corgilover was describing a skin condition not in the chart and I wanted to give her someRelief that maybe it’s not BC and she should go to a dermatologist
