So I noticed a pea size lump under arm, and set up an appt. but by the appt the bump is gone, but she does breast exam and find a different bump and suggest a mammogram. I keep feeling for this bump she found but never did. A couple day later the left breast swell more that usual (not red) but not too much bigger that my right. While laying on my side there was weird sensation through my breast. I wake up the next day and the swelling had moved into my arm and on my rib cag e just below my breast. I can feel 2 small lumps towards middle of rib cage. The next day I wake up with intense pressure in my head, with tinnitus in left ear, blurry vision and olfactory smells. Next day I start having gastro problems like someone is stabbing me. My mammogram and us came back normal. Just one spot they want to check in 6 months. Looks like an area of my fibrocystic tissues just more on one side. I’m worried that while looking for the bump I irritated ibc tissue that spread to my bone, liver and brains quickly. I’ve said this to doctors and it makes me sound crazy. the only test I have some relief is the wbc is slightly elevated, calcium remains normal and ALP normal and had a mri to figure out what’s up with the head -waiting on results. I really want reassurance that whatever the swellling was, wasn’t ibc and hopefully an infection. Should I ask for labs every couple weeks, biopsy of the liver and ribs (there does seem to be a raised area on my sternum. No dr has been able to give me an actually explanation As to what happened. Do you ladies have similar swelling breast (no redness) and the swelling moves to arm and ribs? Any other test/labs I should request? Thanks Ladies! XO

Have you had breast cancer before? If so, it's possible it's lymphadema. If not, you could ask for an MRI, but they are very expensive so many docs won't do that. You could also ask for a PET/CT, but you're even less likely to get that test ordered. I can't think of any blood tests this would be useful.

If your asking whether you have caused invasive IBC by feeling a lump in your breasts, I wouldn't think it likely.
