Grace093, I too was really nervous about the chemo. My only exposure to it was what I saw on tv and in movies. Thankfully, my experience was nothing like what was seen on tv or the movies. I had very little nausea. My biggest complaint was the constipation...try and stay ahead of that one.

Hi Grace, and welcome to Breastcancer.org,

We're so very sorry to hear of your diagnosis, but we're really glad you've found us! As you can already tell, our Community is full of amazing members always willing to share advice, information, and support -- we're all here for you!

We know it can be an overwhelming time as you try and navigate your diagnosis and make a treatment plan with your team. Just know that the more information you receive, the better you'll feel.

And there's lots of other members here who were also nervous about chemo, but found others to discuss these fears with in the Chemotherapy - Before, During, and After forum, where there are monthly threads started depending on when you'll be beginning chemo. These threads are helpful to have "buddies" going through chemo at the same time as you, so you can discuss experiences, side effects, etc. You can see the February 2020 Chemo thread here to get an idea about the discussions.

We hope this helps and we look forward to hearing more from you! Please let us know if you need any help at all.
