Let's Post our Daily Exercise
Comments
-
I subbed again today & will go to Dance2fit and Yoga tonight.
-
No exercise today except laundry and rehab exercises. Wind picked up last night and blew for 24 hours, which kept us close to home to see how the trailer fared, As the front came through we had very bad thunderstorms and tornado watch - the trailer was rocking! And then just like that it is over.
-
It has been friggin' cold here yesterday and today (highs in the teens yesterday and twenties today; lows hovering around ten and feels like -3). The sun was out this pm though and I got in a good walk, all bundled up. I too worry about the black ice when it is this cold...Looking for a class I can take with others, indoors....
-
It was very stormy here with rain and wind. Luckily I was allowed to leave early from work and headed straight for the gym and ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Did about 10 minutes of Pilates at home ( that’s not so great) because I spent some time watching Mad Men on Netflix.
-
My coach had this as a rest day but that would have been my second rest day this week. So I did a combo of abs, arms and flexibility yoga for 45 minutes.
-
At least 6" snow - my exercise this morning is shoveling the driveway - only done about 1/3 and have 2300 steps - took a break to eat breakfast - need to go back outside and finish.
Went to Sprouts on way home from work yesterday after reminder from DH about the snow - I need a couple things from King Soopers (Krogers, Fred Meier etc) but may walk - its only 10 minutes - and it is so peaceful out right now - but the driveway comes first.
I don't work Fridays, but happy for my friends that do as DPS and most of the other local districts called a snow day! Funny thing, on my fb memories, we had a snow day last February 7th!!
Stay warm and safe.
-
Welcome ziggz - I, too, found/kept my sanity through maintaining and upping exercise through all of this which coincided with my mom having a stroke and needing to move in with us.
Just back from my annual diagnostic mammogram...thought I was too busy with work/life to get nerved up by it, but as I approached the building the lingering PTSD peeked out. Gratefully the process went quickly and the reading of the slides too, the worst part is after taking the slides waiting for the radiologist's initial report...The radio tech came back and said the doc said I looked "great" Wow, I'll take it.
Have been double dipping on exercise this week as a new yoga/pilates studio has opened up and I am going to my regular set and trying the new place as well.
The storm of the mid-west came to Virginia yesterday, but as it was 68-70 it was a powerful rain storm...flooding. Today we still have 50 mph winds...TT
-
Finished the driveway for now - it is still snowing!!! 4800 steps!
-
At least 8-9" snow and after a couple hour break it has started snowing again. Supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow and back to the 20s Sunday! Gotta love Denver winters.
Went back to my pcp this afternoon as I can't get rid of the cough and sinus stuff. Back on an antibiotic!! I've never had something last this long. I'm the one who usually doesn't get sick - even during chemo!!!
-
I had a productive day; I put the finishing touches on a fall vacation (some of the western National Parks in the fall), went to Yoga Nidra, got my Real ID, kidnapped the puppies and took them for a brisk walk (it was only 5 degrees but sunny), and now we are going out to dinner with some friends. Whoo Hoo!
-
Ran 7 miles this morning plus the post-run drills. Man it was cold out there, the wind chill was harsh.
-
Super busy day. Cleaned the house and did 30 minutes on the treadmill before it started.
-
4 miles on treadmil, worked out with upper body weights. walked dog 2 miles. Getting ready for Thursdays surgery
-
You will be glad to be on the other side of surgery, Martaj!
Today I play to go to Barre Sculpt and Yoga. Also pick up about a million branches from my backyard.
-
Walked the park for 30 min but it was 35 out so I went home after and baked cookies. Only ate 4.
-
I have brownies sitting on the counter that I'm bringing to an event tomorrow. I am trying desperately NOT to sample them!!
-
Yesterday I walked in the neighborhood, went to the gym and got a decent strength training in and walked on the treadmill. The gym treadmills have TVs so that is very entertaining and keeps me going.
Sadly, I set my clock an hour early so I was up extra early. I ran outside for 30 minutes which is great for me, but sleep is so valuable.
-
Rest day!
-
Its snowing in Denver again!!
-
I think your weather may be coming my way on Wednesday, Karen.
I subbed today. 'Earning' 8,000 steps before the end of the school day. Tonight I went to Dance2fit. Afterwards one of the regulars invited some of over to christen her new house with lots of yummy treats....negating any calories lost through exercise!
-
POUND this morning, I'll go to Yoga Nidra now, and then run a bunch of errands and walk the puppies. We are in a Winter Weather Advisory tomorrow. Some snow, but 45 mile an hour winds......and the temperature will drop 30-50 degrees. Hence the errand doing and dog walking today!
-
Ran 5 and 1/4 with some strides. We're forecast to get over 3 inches of snow tomorrow but it won't start until 9-ish. So I'm moving Thursday's run to tomorrow with my coach's blessing because the wind chill Thursday and Friday morning when I would run is just brutal: zero on Thursday and -3 on Friday.
-
Dicey out walking so might not walk tonight - we walked when i cam home from work and both of us slipped and almost fell a couple times.
A new position opened up at work and the deadline to apply was the 6th - I didn't apply and now it is bothering me - I think I'm going to fill out the application questions and see what happens - worse they can is not offer me an interview - the position would mean going to 5 days/week. So I best get busy and get it done!!
-
Great YOGA yesterday. After class instructor had us all sit in a circle and hold hands of which she proceeded with an inspiration saying and prayer directed to me, with the hand holding wanted all energies to come to me for speedy and good recovery. Surgery tomorrow. Right partial mastectomy, reconstruction, left breast reduction to match right and sentinel node. I am triple neg, stage 3 breast cancer
-
Marta, sending you healing prayers as well.
Got in a five mile run this morning, which is good since we're on tap to get over 3 inches of snow today, followed by an arctic cold front that will stick around for a couple of days.
-
Good morning, think I may try and lurk around you ladies that exercise. I am now done with treatment and will see doctor in 3 months and I'd like to lose some weight before I go back, and reduce my recurrence risk. I walked around our building at work today, I have been trying to do that every day. I have a bike and treadmill in my garage that I got on every morning for about 2 weeks a few months ago, think I will revisit them. I've looked at yoga classes before, I'm rather slow, think I may tape that lady on PBS in the morning and see if I can keep up with her first. I had a bunch of her shows taped and deleted them somehow. I know my hormones love my fat, I hope I can get rid of some of it.
Marta, you are in my prayers with your surgery. Edj, I see the snow is north of us, coming right at you. Stay warm everyone!
-
Hi MoCatLady! Always good to see you pop into a thread
You can also find some good free yoga workouts on YouTube. Yoga by Adrienne is a good one. She's got content you pay for but also free stuff.
-
Oh, I didn't know that, thank you!!! I am going to check that out!
-
Neat trick!
-
Thinking of you, Marta!
Hi Missouri!!!!
Love the dog video, Heidi. Yesterday it was really nice, so we took the dogs to a now deserted campground where they could run and play and dig in the snow to their hearts content. So much fun! Here they are all pooped out!
