Worried about osteoblastic mets

Options

Hi ladies, this morning while looking in a full length mirror, I noticed a bulge on my left side at level of lower rib. As it happened, I was having an abdominal ultrasound today for another ailment but they did not have instructions to focus on that area.

I visited GP tonight and she examined the area. She could not immediately offer a diagnosis but I am having an ultrasound of the area plus xray tomorrow.

It is not painful and I have no other symptoms indicated by recent blood tests.

I am really worried about bc mets. Do you have any insights on my symptom?

Thanks, Racy.

Could it be a bone spur? Not sure if those develop on ribs, but I have some on other bones (and they hurt)

    Let us know.

I have the same thing! It looks and feels hard and attached to the rib bone..like it’s part of it. My oncologist is having me do a bone scan, but said this is not consistent with metastasis. What did yours turn out to be
