Another worrying wait

Hi Everyone Im new to the site, Im 54 havent been diagnosed as yet.

I had bloody discharge from my right nipple and was referred to the 2 wk urgent care which I attended yesterday. I had two lots of mammograms and an ultrasound which came back clear apart from minor small cysts that were nothing to worry about so leaving the ultrasound i felt quite elated with the good news after the last couple of weeks being worried sick. I then had meeting with the consultant whom I thought would reiterate what Id been told. She went on to say though everything appeared ok she was still concerned about discharge and that i would be called back in 8 wks after keeping a diary of discharge to then have a duct excision.

Is it normal to wait as long..Im so worriied and two weeks felt like a lifetime so hoping Ill cope with 8. Thanks
