Ultrasound??
Anyone had an ultrasound and had their biopsy on the same day or did you have to wait for an appointment!?

I had to wait, but it depends on the facility.
It would be really helpful to the people responding to you if you would pick one thread and stick to it instead of starting a new thread for each question you have. It helps to be able to answer in context of the entire picture.

Sorry I don’t know how this site works, missed reading the rules topic as was more trying to find comfort in finding answers to questions that’s playing on my mind that someone else might know, but great thanks for answering my question
-
It's not "rules." It is that when people understand the entire picture of what is going on with you they can provide more pertinent answers without having to go back and search for your other threads.

SEG - I had ULS and ULS guided biopsy at the same appointment. Then a mammogram to check the placement of the clip(s).
We're here for you. As Melissa said, it just makes it easier for us to follow your journey if you keep your questions together.

Same. Mammogram, ultrasound, decided they needed to biopsy 2 spots and asked if I wanted to do it right away (YES), then mammogram to check clip placement. I don't know if that's always the case but they had time to fit it in same day so they did.
-
same here. I had diagnostic mammo, and Needle biopsy the same day. Because my suspicious findings were branching calls, we skipped the US. It was nice not to have to wait for another appointment.

I had my ultrasound the radiologist kept coming in and out measuring and takin get pictures of something so I kept quite and then left and then lady said the radiologist will do a full report and send it to your doctor in 24 hours you will get your results i tried so hard to get something out of her but nothing !! That was Wednesday, they just rang me to tell me my results are in but my doctor is off sick and she wants to give me my results and that won’t be till next week now how fantastic is that !! Best phone call ever

I had my US then biopsy a week later. Now awaiting results ! You are lucky to have had everything done so succinctly . I'm afraid all of this waiting on the next procedure is dangerous!
-
seg - hopefully you have your report by now? And the news is good.

I wish I had some closing to this it’s been 2 weeks since I went to my doctor I’ve had a mammogram, ultrasound and now waiting to have an mri with biopsy they thought the “lumps” was a rupture of my silicons but ultrasound confirmed not and my breasts have masses and fluid... every one on here seems to have things done the same day me I have to keep waiting you all seem to all get very detailed information I don’t seem to get that either so I’m just going with flow and see what happens and to top it off I have to have a biopsy for abnormal cells after pap falling apart!

SEG4011, I feel your pain. This has not been a smooth or short process for me. I had my mammogram/ultrasound on 12/12, MRI on 12/27, conflicting results which led to a 2nd opinion on 1/9, ultrasound again on 1/13, biopsy yesterday, and results next week. Before my 2nd opinion, I had to hound my dr for the results and report. Had I not had the report, I wouldn’t have known to get a 2nd opinion because my dr didn’t read the whole report. Best of luck to you.

SEG4011:
I had the mammogram and US on the same day because it was a diagnostic mammogram but my biopsy and MRI were on different days. One of my doctors had to pull some strings to get my biopsy appointment back after it was canceled due to a misunderstanding and then I had difficulty scheduling the MRI.
-
Same day reporting! Don't very much sure about that!
-
I had an us on January 16, call back from my DR same day with an us and mammogram done on the 21st, booked on the 21st for biopsy to take place this Wednesday 29th. Waiting sucks
-
My diagnostic mammogram was scheduled; the radiologist reviewed it and said let's do an ultrasound. During the ultrasound, she said yeah we need a biopsy. The biopsy was scheduled separately.

Dear nneaga,
Welcome to the BCO community. We are glad you reached out during this dreadful period of waiting. We hope you find some support here. Good luck with your biopsy. Keep us posted.
