Found lump on reconstructed breast

Options

I have an appointment with my nurse practitioner tomorrow. I just had 2 routine breast checks last week. But found a hard grape sized lump on my own yesterday randomly.

I know it’s likely to be fat necrosis from fat grafting.

But panic is settling in anyways. I’m feeling so cranky with my kids too.

This waiting game is BS.

No questions to ask. Just here while I wait if anyone else is waiting and wants to chat.

Do not panic. Ask for an ultrasound and biopsy. I had the same situation last March, the lump turned out to be scar tissue. Not sure how it could grow to 2cm on the reconstructed breast, right on the implant capsule! 2 biopsies, it was benign. I still had it removed for my peace of mind. Yes, the waiting was stressful... Good luck

Definitely ask for some sort of imaging to assess what it is and its size so you can know more definitively if it changes. Keep us posted.

thanks! It is fat necrosis. They got me in for an u/s with immediate analysis within 48 hours of me finding the lump. I was preparing myself for at least a week. Feeling thankful and less grumpy now.
