Fibroadenoma - Intramammary lymph node

We know it's scary, but try not to worry too much. Many, many biopsies come back benign. We would recommend you to read the article What Mammograms Show: Calcifications, Cysts, Fibroadenomas that reinforces that there are a number of other benign masses that can be found.

I had two biopsies that were done in December that were both fibroadenomas. It was an ultrasound guided biopsy and was not bad at all. I was really worried beforehand but the doctor was great, the procedure wasn't painful, and the results didn't take long to come in. I did talk openly to my doctor about all my worries and she made me feel much better about the procedure.

I hope all goes well for you. It is easy to get carried away with "what if" scenarios in your head...but much better to try to relax and focus on other things while you wait.
