Help! Anyone else?
Hi everyone
I could use some good positive stories. I had TNBC stage 3. Went through all treatments. driving chemo. Radiation. Bilateral mastectomy. Told NED in November 2018. Had bone scan routine one a week ago and a spot showed up. Radiologist says looks like arthritis but due to my history do MRI. Have any of you had this and it did turn out to be arthritis. Please any positive news would help so much while I wait. I’m 45 and have a 5 year old. Thanks so much in advance

it’s so scary to hear that there is a follow up needed. I had an MRI that showed something in my neck that turned out to be a hemangioma. I too have a little one- he’s 6- so I know what you’re going through. Hope you get answers soon- waiting is terrible- and that all is clear.

thank you for replying. I guess many times the follow up is all good. Praying it’s that way for me too. All the best to you x

My friend was stage 3 triple neg, diagnosed about 10 years ago now.
She had something show up on CT scan after her treatment but it turned out to be nothing detrimental (I forget what it was).
I had a bone scan myself (twice) that lit up in shoulder areas. It was arthritis.

I cannot thank you enough for the info esp 10 years later. Helps me so much. Praying this is arthritis and thank you again. All the best to you too xox

My friend had something similar which also turned out to be arthritis. It sounds like that is what the radiologist thinks it is, but he/she is just being extra cautious. Do keep us posted.

oh so good to hear. Yes I agree. Seems like they are leaning that way and that’s reassuring but your words help so much. Thank you and I will dec keep you posted x

Hi everyone
So I have to see dr tmrw. Had mri and it’s not arthritis but is abnormal. Does that always mean cancer????? Pls help. I’m desperate and scared
-
mri can show LOTS of things besides cancer....fibroadenoma, cyst, etc. Try to not borrow trouble.....I know, easier said than done. Hang tight & let us know what you learn.
-
Ok good. Needed to hear that. Thank you so much yogatyme. I’m trying not to worry. My oncologist said we will chat tmrw. He didn’t say anything else so I pray he will be positive. I need him to be even a bit positive.

Hello and BREATHE! Just going through something similair with dear friend who's out 6 years post bilateral mastectomies. Had MRI for something else and a spot light up on vertebrae. Not arthritis either, but I forget what specifically, but was due to an old trauma. Hell, we both forgot the termin

Thank you so much. Needed to hear that! The mri says def not arthritis but did say follow up bone scan 3 mos. but then my dr said need see you tmrw so I am so worried it’s bad news. Man this is such a roller coaster. Thanks so much for all the positive. I need it so badly!

Did you get answers? Thinking of you.

Aw thank you for asking. It was not arthritis and is a small spot. On pelvis. They aren’t 100% sure it’s cancer but treating it as such. So radiation again :-( not the news I wanted but now just pray it’s my only spot and no more show on cat scan. Prayers appreciated xox

I am sorry that they think you're dealing with this again. It's too bad they cannot biopsy it, but it sounds like they have an aggressive plan to deal with it. Never hesitate to get a second opinion though.
-
They say 80% sure? Praying cat scan Friday is all clear so we can deal w this spot and move on 🙏
-
Praying it's all clear!!!
-
I am so sorry you're going through this, and I pray that your CT comes out all clear. Stay strong, and find hope in your treatment.
-
Thank you everyone for the kind words. Definitely so scared.
