I don't know that my reaction to the shingles vaccine is as bad as yours, Claire, but the red area on my arm is quite large today--much bigger than yesterday. And boy I've been exhausted. Not looking forward to the second one.
-
Did Power Yoga yesterday and elliptical/stepper combination for 45 min today. I’ve got to get on a diet!
-
I can get my second shingles shot anytime after next Tuesday. I didn't feel good for one day after the first one, so I need to figure out which day I am willing to miss out on.
I went to Aqua Zumba & Yoga Nidra this morning & to a matinee of Little Women (which was wonderful) this afternoon.
-
This is the two part shingles shot. I had a sore arm for two days & didn't feel great for one. Some people feel worse, others have no problems at all. Both my mom & sister have had shingles, and there is zero way I want to go through that if I can help it!
-
went to yoga class this morning and then back to the roller rink for more skating.
-
Got in a five mile run this morning. My arm is still red and sore which will be a dream as I'm heading to Manila today and tomorrow.
-
Yikes, hope it settles down, edj!
Busy day here, I managed to squeeze in 45 minutes on the treadmill early this morning....now back to the busyness....
-
The weather is cold and cloudy but I forced myself to walk both yesterday and today. I did some planks and squats yesterday to get started on my “strength” mission and today i also did a workout app.
Falconer the roller rink and yoga sounds like much more fun than I had.
Edjhave a good trip.
-
Did a barre3 online workout - have not been in the gym at all, for some reason I am really feeling the barre3 workouts and doing them daily. It is a fun program, I have done it on and off since about 2013. I have my first session with my trainer in a few months scheduled for Tuesday and one for Thurs and Sat too. My plan is 3 training sessions w her, and barre3 or BollyX cardio for the other days. Perhaps 1 extra leg day on my own
Edj safe travels!
-
Barre, yoga, plus taking down all the Christmas decorations (and the cleaning that goes along with that).
-
I did a hike plus taking down the Christmas decorations yesterday....
-
i have not done the shingles vac
as to exercise -- I ran NY Day in Omaha visiting my son -- for me it was wicked cold. Just an easy hilly 4
Then my butt cheek started causing BIG issues -- so out of an abundance of caution I won't run until this Wednesday
That said I've been a madwoman on the elliptical and yesterday I did 90 minutes on the bike trainer (watching Brittany Runs a Marathon) followed by 30 on the elliptical.
Usually do strength in the morning but held off until I could go see my sports chiro. Did some lower body work this pm.
-
I finished cleaning the house this morning and did a 30 minute mat pilates class at noon. Then, since the weatherman said today was going to be the best day of the week (it was nice; 30 & sunny), I grabbed the grand-dogs and took an hour long walk in a park, followed by an exciting car wash (exciting both for the very, very dirty car, and for the dogs). I went to Zumba & Yoga tonight.
-
Another barre3 workout today! I am getting boring. Tomorrow I hit the gym for weights/cardio
-
Heidi: Love your picture!
Just a quick hello.Getting back into fast walking but not running yet. Walked yesterday and today and it felt great!
Had my 3D mammogram this afternoon. All is good! Come back in a year! I walked away with a huge grin like this one
-
Yea, Wonderland!
-
Ran two miles here in Manila--even at 7PM the heat and humidity is impressive and the air quality is not so great. Plus I'm still jet lagged but that's OK. I got in a run and that's what counts.
-
are you there for work or vacation -- my son was just there and was going to go to one other island but couldn't because of the Typhoon
-
today out of an abundance of caution for my hammy/butt cheek I did the bike trainer --- had a great ride and am day two off of T :-)
legs felt stronger and i could breathe
-
I'm here for work--this trip is why I went with Grandma's Marathon in June instead of the Garmin Marathon in April. Running here is difficult, not only because of the heat etc. but also because I have to run in the evenings as we're staying on Central time (US), not Filipino time. I'll fly home on January 23.
-
I just checked the weather in Manila. High 80s, high humidity- that’s our fall weather until mid October- I don’t love it. It makes me want to relocate.
Yesterday was just an average day for exercise- multiple walks and very short weight lifting. Had to visit my mom so by the time I get done with that and drive in rush hour traffic, I feel too tired for anything much. My college daughter is home now ( but after I got home she left for the gym so I was out-foxed)
I ran a couple miles this morning and hope to run again af
-
GoKale4320 because I have to run in the evening here, the heat index is a real factor too. Plus the air quality is not the best. I've been told by my vendor here that this is good air quality and things are much worse in the early summer.
Here's the view out of my hotel room tonight before I came to work (room is on the 38th floor).
-
the city looks beautiful!!!!! Heat and humidity are my life and it is really considered by some as altitude training for those who cannot get there.
-
amazing pic, Edj3! Thanks for sharing. Yeah, running to avoid the peak heat ( and with your work schedule) is essential
-
Enjoy those runs ladies - looks great! Good going Wonderland!
