Your prayers

I just wanted to tell you all that I feel your prayers and they have helped to sustain me through this. I cannot begin to thank you for your kindnesses and for each and everyone of your prayers you have sent up for me.
The sermon in church today was all about prayer. How the one thing we see Jesus do the most in the gospel is pray and that was making him one with our Lord. When we pray, we become like Jesus and that brings us closer to what he asked of us... and closer to each other and ultimately closer to him.
There is power in prayer.
Faith is sustaining and a gift.
Having friends like you pray for me is the greatest gift of all.
I may not be around as much lately because of the pre-surgery craziness, but please know each and all of you are in my prayers daily.
Thank you, I am humbled by your care and concern...
Love,
g

God of our life,
there are days when the burdens we carry
chafe our shoulders and weigh us down,
when the road seems dreary and endless,
the skies gray and threatening;
when our lives have no music in them,
and our hearts are lonely,
and our souls have lost their courage.
Flood the path with light,
run our eyes to where
the skies are full of promise;
tune our hearts to brave music;
give us the sense of comradeship
with heroes and saints of every age;
and so quicken our spirits
that we may be able to encourage
the souls of all who journey with us
on the road of life, to your honor and glory

sending you love
light and vibes of comfort and strength

G, you remain in my prayers for God to guide the surgeon's hands and to quickly ease your pain. I'm also sending you a prayer to carry with you tomorrow.
Every Day I Need You Lord
Every day I need you Lord
But this day especially,
I need some extra strength
To face what ever is to be.
This day more than any day
I need to feel you near,
To fortify my courage
And to overcome my fear.
By myself, I cannot meet
The challenge of the hour,
There are times when humans help,
But we need a higher power
To assist us bear what must be borne,
and so dear Lord, I pray -
Hold on to my trembling hand
And be near me today. -
Gina:

JoJo:
Just wanted to let you know how much I love this prayer you sent Gina. After my MIL passed away a few years ago, this was one of the prayers we found in her bible and I thought it was very beautiful.
Blessings to you too, JoJo in all you are going through.
Hugs,
