Fibrotic Scar on paracardiac region

Options

hello ladies... my mom had mastectomy on June 2017,she completed her 6 rounds of chemo (TAC) and 25 rads on feb 2018. After 6 months her doctor advised pet ct scan. In pet ct scan report there was a tiny lung nodule in left lung upper lobe with no fdg uptake. So doctor was quite happy and ask for a simple ct scan 6 months later. It shows same thing. Now on her 3rd scan which was done on 21st December 2019 the nodule was there with no significant enhancement. But there is a fibrotic scar in paracardiac region noted. Now is that due to radiation? I am just freaking out... as if it is a pulmonary fibrosis then it's not curable. We have our appointment with doctor on Friday. I am too scared to think what is lying next. Are they going send us for a biopsy or will wait and watch again? What is the normal procedure to find out what the scar is really? Please share your valuable opinions... I will be highly obliged. Thanx

Not sure exactly what they'll do, so I'd bring a detailed list of questions for how it will be assessed nad how it will be addressed. Hoping you get good news at the appointment.
