Good news for PiXi and Pebbles. Woo-hoo!
Vamp I think the breathing issue is probably contributing to the fatigue. I hope you can get it resolved soon.
I was supposed to have my six month follow up with the onc end of Nov but they left a message they want to change it. I am so tempted to just wait until January. Anyone else sick of doctor appointments and being monitored? I had to switch insurance 10-1 so I think I will start fresh next year with the new deductible.
Pebbles it’s funny how dogs are just like kids-a little jealous and wary of the new baby if it’s close in age!
I am enjoying my new consulting work immensely! However I am struggling to get in exercise since winter temps arrived. I figured that is a good time to try to focus on diet more when the exercise isn’t making me hungry. I thought I would try a low carb diet for a few days to get my appetite in check but then my son wanted to go out for mexican last night and this place has the best chips and queso. So I am not yet doing great on either the exercise or eating front!

hello all!
it's been a roller coaster of late. my latest treatment kicked my butt & still didn't work, new liver met & the 2 little ones are growing, so onto better (fingers crossed) things. Going to try eribulin (halavan)
As a SE of some of the drugs I've been on, I now have a cataract that needs to be dealt with. The receptionist was laughing with me that I am about 30 years younger than their average patient. For the moment I am actually legally blind with vision being 20/200.
As far as diet, I've been pretty good, not very paleo tho. But eating healthy, maintaining my weight, MO is happy with it.
Even with everything that's going on, DH & I have been away on a couple of fun driving holidays, one to the Rockies and one to wine country in Osoyoos.
Glad to see some puppy pics. I will have to go back & read this thread, hope everyone is doing well.
cheers, dee
hugs, dee

Oh, GG27! You have so much on your plate and it sure as heck isn't paleo. I am so sorry about the SE. Even more upsetting that the treatments didn't work. I'm glad to hear that you had some fun getaways and that you are eating well.
Thanks, TwoHobbies!
I am two weeks out from surgery and trying to balance walking around with resting. This week I made it to the grocery store three times. I just walk while DH shops as I'm not supposed to bend or push anything or stand for prolonged periods. My daily step count is rather high and I'm afraid I'm pushing it, but walking is the only thing I'm allowed to do! I am trying to listen to my body.
Take care everyone!
P.S. Is anyone here paleo?

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year paleo group!
Pi-Xi I meant to respond earlier that I think I'm still mostly paleo - aka eat meat but try to make healthy choices. Are you fully recovered from surgery now? I am so impressed you walked so much so soon after.
GG27 - hoping for a much smoother 2020 for you. My sister is 46 and legally blind so you're not alone. And I am here to commiserate with you on the feeling about being decades younger than the usual - felt that way every time I went / go to the hospital for treatments (I'm 44).TwoHobbies - YES in being tired of all the appointments except for the fact that I get to work from home when I have an appointment. Still, the less the better for me and when my oncologist said after I saw him in November that my next appt didn't have to be until 6 months later I was elated!
Happy 2020 to our wonderful paleo group! Here's a pic of Domino, Tucker and Finley to help welcome the new year.

Hello and Happy New Year 2020 to all. I'm a new member. I gained about 25 lbs and that's no good. Hoping for a change but the stress level is high and I have the tendency to run for the food. I live with Family who need dietary changes as well but they don't want to try as a group. Lots of bad food in house. My Oncologist wanted me to start the Tamoxifen but I'm worried because I'm already overweight by about 30lbs. Tried to input my Cancer info but wasn't able to do so. Might try on laptop. I was diagnosed with LCIS, but with my Family history and breast density I had to fight to get taken seriously. Roswell kicked me out and treated me like a fool. Won't go into that just yet. Cancer is gone at this point but have pre- Cancer on skin. Come to find out I had a Stage 1 which was found after my surgery. I had some Axillary Lymph Node Removal and a Double Mastectomy on July 23rd of last year. I also had Reconstruction but there were complications due to the reconstructive surgeons spontaneous decision during surgery, to skip the expanders and just put in implants. I needed a second surgery because of it and I got nerve damage from that. Don't have full use of my left arm anymore. I also keep getting colds, flu and now hit with something really bad. I'm on a ZPack now. I have other major environmental stressors. All of my Cognitive Behavioral Therapy just went down the toilet. My Docs all think l have a team of top notch lawyers ready to kick in their door so I can barely get straight answers from anyone except my Oncologist. I definitely have been neglected, verbally abused and mistreated. This is a last effort to save myself before I skyrocket to 200lbs. I've been there twice already. Hopefully being here will help me.
