No wisdom, just commiseration because waiting is the worst part!

I hope you get a nice, low oncotype score!!

Waiting is tough. My score came back in 2 weeks. I was blessed it was low@11. It allowed me to dodge chemo thank goodness.

I was Stage 1b too but my grade was 1. I have an 8% chance of a recurrence. I’m 8 years out this past August.

Keep the faith and keep us posted.

Well more waiting. My insurance has denied my PET scan but my doctor did appeal it and they say it is under review.

My radiation oncologist is going to do a simulation to see whether or not radiation can be done safely due to my pacemaker being on the same side as my cancer.

I do have an appointment with a specialist concerning the pacemaker, to see what is what is involved in moving it probably to the right side. It is not until January 27 though. This doctor is at Cleveland Clinic. I believe he is a very well versed electrophysiologist.

I feel like I’m becoming unglued over this. I just wanted to get on with this and get it done before spring. I had quite a meltdown over this yesterday after seeing my therapist. The session went well but when I got home, I took my frustration out on my husband. It’s just so hard waiting.

I am not sure why your dr. wants a PET scan with a stage 1 cancer. Did he/she give you a reason? I believe it is not normally ordered for stage 1, especially with no cancer in the nodes.
