How long did your biopsy results take?
I’m so irritated right now. I had an ultrasound guided biopsy on a mass in my breast and on an enlarged lymph node done on Monday. I originally was told when my appointment was scheduled that results take 2 to 3 days. Then after my biopsy the doctor told me results would take 3 to 4 days. I called today to check on them and now a nurse is telling me it will be 5 to 7 Days. She said I may hear from them on Friday but it will probably be Monday. I really don’t want to go another weekend not knowing. How long did your biopsy results take

It took a week and I had to call the surgeon. Found out later he had received the results the day before but did not call. After my surgeries and follow-up visit, I fired him for his chauvinistic behaviors.

I hadit done on a Tuesday and heard Thursday evening. I'm sorry you have to wait so long. I'd call tomorrow and then again Friday am and Friday late afternoon. Waiting the wknd just sucks. Good luck!

I had mine done on a Tuesday and got my results the following Tuesday.

I had my biopsy on a Monday afternoon, by that Wednesday afternoon, I had my preliminary. Call them and bug the heck out of them!

Robin, that’s what I’ve been doing because of advice from you all. I called yesterday and I just called again today waiting on a call back and I’m going to call tomorrow morning and tomorrow evening lo

Just got the call back. It’s cancer. Invasive ductal carcinoma. The lymph node was clear though but the breast mass is cancer

hray... was getting to post. Mine took about a week and that allowed time for additional tests such as estrogen and progesterone receptor status, etc. Glad you found this site, sorry for the diagnosis but now you know and can begin to move forward.

Thank you. They didn’t have the results of my hormone receptor status yet, but you saying yours came a week later, makes me hopeful I can get results for that before my breast care team consultation on Jan 7
