Beppy, you are always in my heart! Miss you so much!

Molly, yes, thanks, side effects have been minimal...no skin irritation though I had a lot with breast cancer, but then, they are zapping a very different (and smaller!) area. My eye waters a bit right after the daily zap, but only for five or ten minutes...So, almost no SEs....until this week that is: when, while it hasn't been awful, I've been hit with serious fatigue. I am working remotely while this is going on (since tx is in CA) but today I had to stop answering email and next thing I knew, I was waking up from a two hour nap on the couch! (felt good, actually...). I mentioned it to Doc when I saw him Monday (see, even though the tumor is benign, I can't quite bring myself to call him my 'Radiation Oncologist' even though that is what he is. Crazytown in action), and he pointed out it was the second to last week and the fatigue is to be expected. I have been trying to walk a lot which helped with SEs during the bc, but it has been raining the past few days, which has also slowed me down. Overall, no complaints, though. Probably goes without saying that I can't wait to finish up and head home!!!

    Hugs to all

oh, and some good news!! Saw the neuro-ophthalmologist last week and my vision has improved by almost 50% in the bad eye! This is particularly good news because the goal of treatment was *not* to improve my vision but rather just to keep it from getting worse and from going blind, which would have definitely happened eventually in the bad eye, and it could have grown to the point where it impacted the good eye, potentially making me blind or near blind in both eyes....

She (the eyedoc) cautioned me that I shouldn't celebrate too prematurely, because my vision could change again....but that she was cautiously optimistic that this is a real, lasting improvement. Woohoo!

Hi everyone - I had a screening MRI w/ contrast on the 12th. It's my first ever breast MRI, my previous screening was a diagnostic mammo last Feb but I asked for an MRI this time.

Now I wait for results, which I think will be available next Thurs (I can't get online access to these ones). The technician who checked me in and did my IV and reviewed my allergies/metal implants etc was really chatty at the beginning but at the end of the exam she was kind of abrupt and busy fussing around with things in the room when I left. After I walked out I started to wonder if she'd seen something and didn't want to meet my eyes... otoh, my exam was delayed because of a problem with the table and I think they were running behind so maybe she was just legitimately frazzled.

but when you're waiting for scan results, it's easy to imagine the worst so here I am in crazytown

Ducky, vent away. That's what this thread is for. I'll say a Mi Sheberach (prayer for healing) for your daughter.

Moth, you don’t k’now me...I”m an oldie on here as far back as 2011....I won’t say Goodie, cause that may not be true.....

Just want to say Fantastic news...that’s 2 good reports in a couple days.

They did tell my daughter the were going to remove this PASH thing.....but in a conference yesterday the Radiologist, Surgeon, and Oncologist agreed surgery did not have to be done......The Radiologist said because she took so many tissue cuts 4 to 5..there is probably nothing left since it was so small.....not sure I agree with that, but they made the call, and my daughter 3was satisfied.....I just think if there is even a piece left..won’t that show up as a suspicious spot in the next MRi, even though they know this PASH thing is never cancer or pre-cancer.....so its a done deal I suppose....just glad its all over...hugs to all of you

    Happy Holidays to all!
