Newbie here. I am concerned about IBC. To make a long story short, my doctor prescribed me prednisone for shoulder pain (accompanying breast pain and the slightest redness in both breasts) due to inflammation in the joint. Can prednisone or other corticosteroids mask IBC symptoms? I have scoured the interwebs and cannot find anything that would even start to answer this question. I am 8 weeks postpartum and since taking the prednisone the ever so slight redness has gone away in both breasts but I still have the pain in my left breast. Multiple doctors don’t think anything is wrong with me and attribute most of my complaints to postpartum woes. I am currently waiting to see a breast specialist to review my medical records (i.e. ultrasound imaging and visit notes) to “determine” when she can see me.

    Nervously waiting.

    Any feedback would be appreciated

Unlikely. At 8 weeks postpartum there's a lot of changes going on in your breasts. Conventional wisdom is that if a pain lasts two weeks, you should check with the doc. But you note that you've already seen "multiple" docs and they don't think anything is wrong. Try to distract yourself from worrying and don't google. Congrats on your new baby, who is surely keeping you busy.
