    I have done my best to keep my mind occupied. I’m at work as we speak. But how long do we have to wait to get a diagnosis? I had my biopsy on the 3rd

    You still haven't heard anything, dysonsphere? The waiting is so hard. I'm so sorry that you are still waiting to hear. Please keep us updated as soon as you hear anything.

    I had my biopsy on my right breast on a Thursday and didn't hear anything until Monday night. My biopsy on my left breast I had on a Friday and I got my results on Tuesday afternoon. So both of them around 4 days. I would think you would be hearing something very soon. Hang in there.

    I'm so sorry you still haven't heard anything. The waiting is excruciating! If you don't hear anything by the end of the day, try calling them. Let us know, ok?

    Mine took exactly 7 days, I know the waiting is HORRIBLE! Best of luck to you, I know its not easy...

    They finally called to say they didn't realize I hadn't made an appointment for the results, so they are having me come in tomorrow afternoon. So I'm going to spend the evening enjoying my last few hours where I can still have some doubt that my life is changing. That's for the support! So glad this forum exists with people who understand because it does feel very lonely.

    Aww, man! I sometimes wonder if the doctors realize how hard the waiting is for the patient. That every time the phone rings, we jump out of our skin. That our minds are racing a mile a minute, with all the what-ifs. That we try our hardest to focus on our daily lives and hide the fear from our loved ones. This waiting just plain SUCKS.

    Thinking about you, dysonsphere. Praying for good news for you tomorrow.

    Just checking in for an update. I'm glad you got an appointment. But it sucks that they didn't realize that you didn't have an appointment. That sounds like a lot of unnecessary waiting and worrying. I'm with kikind. I don't think they realize just how hard the waiting is. It's horrible. Your mind goes from the best to the worst and back again. Over and over and over. It's human nature. You try to go about your business and push it to the back of your mind but you can't. It's always there, nagging at you. The wonder, the worry, the what ifs.

    Praying for good results today. Keep us updated. We're here for you. We've been there and we understand. That's the great thing about this place. It's a safe place to come and talk about it. Because we get it.

    I just got in from my Dr's appointment. My friend went with me, so that helped a lot.My Dr is an OBGYN so he didn't have a lot of information. The paperwork he received from pathology said I have invasive ductal carcinoma. ER positive, PR positive, HER2 negative. Grade 2. He referred me to the MD Anderson Cancer center. I'm glad I live near a good cancer center. Honestly, I'm kinda numb right now. I guess I will need to google what all this means and wait for the cancer center phone call!

    I'm so sorry, dysonsphere. I've been thinking about you all afternoon and hoping you got good news. MD Anderson is supposed to be one of the best in the country. Always here if you need to talk, ok?

    I'm sorry, dysonsphere. I too had hoped for good news. Be cautious in your google searches. The one thing my breast surgeon told me is that the internet is a wonderful place full of information - some of it good, some of it bad. She said stick to reputable sites only or your search results could be quite scary. Stick to the American Cancer Society, Susan B Komen, obiously Breast Cancer.org, etc., and any place that is recommended by the members here. They wouldn't steer you wrong. Any question you have can probably be answered by one of the members here. I have found the members here to be quite knowledgeable, always friendly and very respectable. I have never had an issue with anyone on this forum.
