Radiation after mastectomy?

I have synchronis bilateral breast cancer with the L side being multi-focal (1 main tumor, 17 micro tumors). I have had chemo and a double mastectomy. I have a consult on Dec 4th to see if radiation will be part of my care plan.
Just wondering who has walked this path before and how long after the BMX they wait before starting?
I’m just gathering information at this point. The bilateral and multi-foci diagnosis seems to be driving a more aggressive approach.

Hi,
Have you seen your RO? I was told they wait 4-8 weeks after mastectomy. I believe it depends on breast expanders.

I forgot I posted this and deleted the original post. Thanks for replying, I was told I do not need radiation! WOO HOO.
