Chemo before clean margins?

Did anyone have chemo before their final surgery to clear margins? I had 2 lumpectomies with positive margins, and then was rushed to chemo (It was nearly 3 months since diagnosis at that point) before I will finally have a BMX. I've yet to find anyone else in this situation which scares me.

Ru - you haven't posted your diagnosis & treatment but - anyone that is HER2+ will likely have chemo before BMX. Sometimes it's more important to shrink the tumor(s) or try to mop up any rogue cells before the final surgery

I filled out the diagnosis part Not sure why it isn't showing...

I was put on an AI drug Letrozole for 2 months before my mastectomy. Even though I had ILC I also had a lump so the Dr. wanted to shrink the lump before the surgery.
