Nipple discharge?

I’m not diagnosed yet but I suspect IF I have cancer it’s IDC. A new symptom I have is nipple discharge. The discharge comes out if I press down on a lump that’s behind my nipple. Has anyone diagnosed with IDC had this symptom? The color is clearish yellow. Watery but sticky once dry.

    it was clearish yellow. Was sticky. Normally this type of discharge is benign but I had DCIS and a suspected papilloma.

    I’ve never heard of that type of discharge. I had micro calcifications but the pattern indicated possible malignancy for me so it was biopsied. Had a double mastectomy and all is well now. Good luck to u

    nipple discharge can be several things. First- see or call your doctor to document it and for clinical breast exam.Second- ask for imaging to determine if there is a need for ductogram.

    Nipple discharge can occur if your hormones are off or due to certain medications- lab tests can check that. A papilloma or infection can produce nipple discharge. A ductogram can determine if there are any irregularities in the nipple or extending up the duct when contrast and imaging are used in conjunction.

    i did read that white discharge could be an infection so definitely see a breast specialist. The calcifications i had were linear and in clusters which indicates something is happening inside the ducts (I had a lot of them). I think just a few sporadic ones arent anything of concern and are just monitored. Calcifications are pretty common.

    good luck! stay proactive. I was diagnosed at 32 not long after weaning my baby and have zero family history. It started with a stinging sensation that would be on and off. A few months later i felt multiple lumps. The lumps themselves i was told were benign but after the MRI and Ultrasound they biopsied the calcifications which were malignant. Im thankful i was able to feel the lumps. My breast surgeon speculates that the lumps were the beginnings of malignant tumors but no one really knows. So bizarre! Then the lump behind my nipple with the discharge was another strange thing.

    Try to see a breast specialist instead. An OB can order an ultrasound/mammogram but a breast specialist will be more efficient.
