Let's Post our Daily Exercise

Hi all! I was excited to find this as an active thread and I know there’s going to be days when I need the motivation, so thank y’all! I did stretches, Pilates for BC recovery, and a little elliptical. I’ve been walking every day but wanted to try something different.

My gratitude practice needs more work! Went to Core Yoga at lunch to find my teacher cancelling class for noon tomorrow (flash the petty disappointment)....then at the end of class she announces she needs to cancel class as she is having Pre-Op lab work for a surgery next week (now I feel really stupid for my petty thought before).
So today I am grateful that for the first time in 5 years, I am on track to get through the year without surgery. Having been a pretty healthy person until all this came about, I would never have thought I would have had a surgery (or two) a year for 4 years in a row...very glad to have broken that pattern this year.
For those traveling or in the path of the storms, stay safe. TT

Welcome, DaBalm!

Welcome DaBahm!
Yikes Karen, that is a lot of snow!!
Hubby flew in from Albuquerque yesterday to be with me this week....his flight originated in Denver so I am very grateful it got out before all of that hit! Not sure he would have made it today....
Meanwhile, here in California the rain in starting, more tonight and tomorrow and again on the weekend....we will be spending Thanksgiving in the LA area with my daughter, SIL, grandkids and 20 or so extended family members. driving there will be the only drag, but can't wait to get there!
Unfortunately, I have not been good about exercise today. I need to find an indoor mall to walk in....
-
My mom in Wisconsin is supposed to see anywhere from 5-10 inches! They are watching another storm coming off the Pacific that will be heading my way and it may give us our first official measurable snow
-
Restorative Yoga yesterday and 23,000 steps total. The "Thanksgiving " run has me moving.
Karen- the snow is beautiful! We are expecting rain tomorrow which does not excite me. Wednesday is the day we deliver Meals on Wheels.
TT- yay for no surgeries!
Ruth- stay safe traveling.
Edj3- Turkey trot sounds fun. Glad you are not is the wintry mix weather!
Welcome to DaBahm
Oh! I passed my visual field exam and I don't have start a tx plan for the glaucoma. I will get have my eyes tested more frequently.
-
Good news, Varga!
-
Sorry you guys have bad weather--we're on tap for a rainy Turkey Trot but hey you don't have to shovel rain.
Tonight's view as we went to the tidal pools during low tide.
-
Wow that snow is beautiful but lots!!
Walked for 25 minutes around our lake tonight. I did so at dusk. Between the sky and the water/geese it looked magical. I wished I had taken my phone with me to capture a picture.
-
Yesterday, I did not exercise. Tonight, I jogged and walked for 30 minutes in 1 minute intervals.
-
WOW lots of snow Karen. Stay warm and safe. I actually could walk the dog twice yesterday. One week post hospitalization, slowly getting strength back. I had Acute Viral syndrome, fever, very high White Count, pneuonititis. Meet up with cancer team today to see what plan is. I've missed 1 dose of AC, I don't know if I want to restart it. Tough decision. I was so sick. We will see what options are. Have a great day every one. Marta
-
Thanks for the welcomes! I could come just for the beautiful picks everyone posts I’m going to try the Pilates again today and after MO DH and I are going to the trails. He’ll do a run and I’ll stick to hiking. Hope everyone is safe
-
Beautiful picture, edj!
We only had 6 Walking Women today (2 still outside, the rest of us in) due to Thanksgiving travel or preparations. It looks like out weather will hold until later in the day on Friday & then we might get nailed. If that's what happens we will be gone and back again before the snow. If I don't get back on today, have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
-
Varga: So thankful that you passed your vision test. Oh happy day!!!
Welcome: DeBahm! Thankful that you are here with us.
Martaj: My gracious! I am sorry you have been so sick. You do have a tough decision to make and I'm thankful that you have a cancer team giving you advice. Please know that I am holding you in my prayers.
Ruth: Thankful that you get to go to South Dakota for Thanksgiving!
edj3: Thankful that you are feeling good enough to ran tomorrow, rain be damned.
octogirl: Thankful that even though you are not home, you are getting the treatment you need and now you will be getting the best treatment ever - you get to have Thanksgiving with your family.
IAmACat: Thankful you were able to exercise today.
Reader: Thankful you got to witness a magical moment. Those are the best!
Karen: I'm thankful you don't have to travel anywhere today and you can enjoy your walks in the snow!
TrmTab: Yes! No surgery this year is definitely something to be thankful for!
M0mmy: I'm thankful for you!!!
To All of You on this Thread: I am thankful for you always being there for me.
I'm grateful and thankful that 13 years ago today, November 27, I had my mastectomy. Today is also my dh's birthday! Preparing a special birthday meal: scallops, Mahi Mahi, mashed potatoes, okra from our garden that I froze this summer, and cake that I baked this morning.
But most of all I am beyond thankful for all of you and your support throughout the years! Happy Thanksgiving!
-
Thank you Wonder!
Didn’t exercise today. Was busy with preparing for tomorrow and doing laundr
-
Thanks, Wonder and right back at you!
Did a bit of strength work today, not much since we've got that race tomorrow . . . in the pouring cold rain . . . YIKES.
-
Thanks Wonder! You've been an inspiration to me for sometime also so like edj3 said "Back atcha". 🍗🍁🙂
-
Tag me superlazy. I did 10 minutes of treadmill running and 20 minutes of yoga. I am done for the day. Office is brutal.
-
Tonight, I did 8 sets of 15 second ab exercises. My goal is to make each set 45 seconds. Some exercises I had to modify to avoid lymphedema.
-
IAmACat, how are you doing with radiation? I kept running throughout but the fatigue was real. I'm hoping yours is mild at worst!
-
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am thankful for the friends and motivators here.
Varga, good news on the eyesight!
Gorgeous site, edj.
Wonderland congrats on thirteen years. Your meal sounds delish. I have happier memories of Nov 27- my first date with my husband.
MartaJ, goodness that kind of sounds like what I had last November but at least I was not in the midst of chemo. I had very high white count, fever for three weeks straight. Take good care of yourself.
We missed the midwest snow and just had rain and wind. It has been pretty mild here and I was able to exercise both days last weekend and do a couple of lunchtime walks this week. Trying to keep it up over these four days off. I will need to rake more leaves after the windstorm.
-
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate and I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe day. I am thankful to have found this place and for y’all! I did my full Pilates with lightweights because the surgeon removed restrictions yesterday.
-
Here we all are in our race tee shirts from this morning's 5k.
-
Cute family pic, edj!
What a mouthwatering birthday meal, Wonderland
Dabahm, with restrictions adieu, there's nothing to stop you now.
Getting a lot of dogwalking in but have to be more disciplined about strength training.
-
Love the picture, edj!
The weather is still holding; we're in a weather advisory right now and the storm is predicted to start later this evening (my town has a big annual holiday parade tonight so I hope they can squeeze that first). I walked on the treadmill last night, and went to both Aqua Zumba & Barre this morning, and walked the dog this afternoon (none of which begins to equal the amount of calories that I ate yesterday, yikes!).
-
Decorating tomorrow and preparing for the storm coming our way on Sunday.
-
My DD walked with me yesterday and my DS ran his mile. I’m thinking it’s Pilates later because I have thunder and lightning here and I started my tamoxifen
-
We are having our predicted snow storm. Being it's North Dakota, my yoga class was still on this morning; so I bundled up, grabbed my mat, and walked over (only a 10 minute walk). When I got home I did 45 minutes on the treadmill. And then, since DH can't stand being trapped inside for a whole day, we then went out for breakfast (with him driving.....I won't drive in this!)d. We did a couple hard Saturday crossword puzzles at the restaurant, had a visit with our old lady friend at the nursing home & now are back home again for the rest of today & as far into tomorrow as it will take to dig out.
-
Got a lot of exercise today trying to do a little Christmas shopping for my hubby. People were acting like total fools between the holiday shopping and prepping for the snow tomorrow! This is what it was like:
-
Haha, the above is how everyone reacts here in DC !!
Did another 25 minute walk outside near dusk. I had to bundle a bit- two heavy fleece type jackets, wool gloves and hat. I have lined leggings I wear in this weather that are awesome.
