Glad to find this topic, I’ve been on Arimidex for 4 months and I also have pain in my upper right arm or shoulder, it seems to move. Right now it’s not terrible but when I reach for something it hurts. I also got a prolia shot in that arm about 2 months ago and that is about when it started to hurt. Anyone have a similar reaction to a prolia shot that lasts that long

Oops... life got busy trying to complete a house project. I did go to the doc. He was really good and reassuring. He said that the hard-as-a-rock knots in my shoulders (lots of tension from said project) and resultant stiffness were causing me to wing my shoulder blades (both sides have it, but left side is worse). So, he recommended muscle relaxants, physio, and yoga. I am feeling much better already.

Newfrommy, it does sound like it might have been the shot? I have read that it can cause pain at the site as well as muscle and joint pain. But if it continues, I would get it checked. Just getting that weight off my shoulders (ha!) really helped me a lot mentally and emotionally.

JaneQPoppy, I hear you on the aches and pains. I think I am continuing on (5 years in January) as I am still frightened by the long term recurrence statistics for ER+. Reading about it lurking in bone marrow and those stats really does a number on my head. I figure I have made it this far, I can do 2.5 more years. I may take a break though... if my onc will allow it.

Yesterday was my cancerversary. Seems hard to believe--the years wizzed by. I wish I could celebrate with more zest. It's that 5 years doesn't really seem to mean much. But I will celebrate anyway--what's the point of waiting 20 years or more??? Anything could happen. So if you figure out how to train your cats, let me know... they should serve me breakfast in bed! with mimosas, of course. :-D.
