Parkinson's
I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I count on the moderators to move it if needed.
Five years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My surgeon's office told me that if I wanted to get on the internet and start looking for information, to focus my time breastcancer.org. They were right. This site got me through years of worrying and provided me with all the information and support I needed.
I now find that I am diagnosed with Parkinson's. There are many sites with this topic and I am having trouble finding a site that is as informative and supportive as this site. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

My husband has been DX with Parkinson’s disease too. So sorry you have another disease to deal with. You might surf the internet for any sites for the Michael J. Fox foundation. As you probably know he’s been suffering with the disease since he was 29 years old and he’s in his 50s I believe. He also has a foundation as well.
My husband has the tremors but other than that none of the other symptoms for now thankfully. He takes meds tocontrol the tremors. They do help.
Also a friend of my brother’s has it and has for years. He has difficulty walking and falls down a lot. Yet another cruel disease.
Good luck!

My maternal granddad has parkinsons, his aunt and uncle had it also. He also had prostate cancer which was.caught early after his brother lost his fight with it. He also has addison's and temporal arthritis but even with all the challenges it comes.with he still.is active. Up until about 5 years ago.he was delivering.meals on wheels which was amazing. He no longer can drive but still is active, goes out to eat a lot and spending time with friends. He is a Korean vet and 90 years old, (91 in January) it's amazing how far modern medicine has come. You can live a full.life. My mom said he started having symptoms in his late 30's early 40's but continued his work with the airforce working on engines until.he retired in the 1984 I believe.

My family has an inherited type of Parkinson’s disease - my grandmother, uncle and both my sisters. My mother did not develop Parkinson’s but passed the gene on to my sisters. Ours is an especially virulent type with very rapid progression.
I have not yet shown any symptoms but I am the youngest and my sisters were only slightly older than I am now before they developed symptoms. I am 68.
I was diagnosed with DCIS in 2014 and BC in the opposite breast in 2017. No family history. I refused AI’s because of their affect on dopamine. So now I am kind of a sitting duck, waiting for symptoms of either or both to come raining down on my head!
