    She was on Letterman the night before, also wearing them with a different dress.  Curious.  My first thought was maybe carpal tunnel.  But maybe you're right cookie, she just thought they were stylish!

    The hardest comments to deal with but the best I guess are when someone thinks my glove is a fashion statement...I'm glad..but I really really don't quite know what to say.

    A lot of people have told me the black barton careys look good...and my friends actually think it's kind of cool...

    I just don't get it...hard for me to see it that way.

    I did by some cheap pearl bracelets at forever 21 to wear over it

    I noticed that on Letterman, and then the next day on Kelly Ripa, she was wearing a different color pair of gauntlets. And catty me, my first thought was it was vanity. Her face looks so young, but since she is 65, her aged hands might not match her face. Although I think they are doing "hand lifts" these days, so who knows! Interesting, though, I don't think anyone on TV mentioned it.

    Apparently Dolly has had some corrective hand surgery, not cosmetic, and is wearing the gloves to cover the scars.

    Dolly Parton has most likely had breast implants exchanged quiet a few times during her long career.

    The reason Dolly's hands are covered with fingerless gloves - are to cover her aged hands. She can have everything else nipped/tucked and sucked as she has always said - but the hands are a tell tale give away and can't be 'fixed'. All her fingerless gloves are made to match every outfit she wears.

    The first time I saw gauntlets advertised with many design choices, I thought they were fashion statements, something to wear to the gym to keep the sweat from dripping or possibly sun protection. That was before my dx and exploring BC sites. Heck, if dolly can make them popular, more power to her. Then those who need them won't be asked for an explanation they don't want to give. Maggie Smith wears them in her role as Violet Crawley in Downton Abbey, and she's the cutest of them all!
