Paranoid and scared to death
Hello.
I am 30. A wife of 9 years, and a mom to 3 amazing kids ages 8,6,and 4. I found a "bug bite" looking mark about an inch under my left nipple 4 days ago. There is a dot in the center of this mark. I went to my primary who said she didn't think there was anything to worry about, but referred me to Breast Health Anyway. I had a Mammogram and Ultrasound the very next day, both of which I was told look normal with nothing noticeable to worry about. Tomorrow I see the Breast specialist. This morning I noticed l few little red dots around this "bug bite" mark. It looks like Petechia. I am going to demand a biopsy..because to the doctors we are all just numbers, but I am a mom, and a wife, and a few minutes of their time is worth my life....and that is exactly what I am going to say.
Prayers please. I know I can be over reactive. Paranoid, and anxiety ridden....I just hope I am wrong.

sharrison8, we're sorry you're here and worried, but wanted to say welcome! You've come to the right place for information and support while you wait. It's good you're being proactive taking care of your health, but try to stay calm, most breast changes turn out to be nothing serious, specially at your age. Please, let us know what you learn tomorrow at the breast specialist. We're thinking of you!
Best,

Hello again.
Today is the day. Last night my left under breast was very itchy so I scratched it. I went to take a shower and noticed HUNDREDS of red dots. I know its from the scratching because they were not there 10 minutes prior. It looks like burst blood vessels. I am terrified. I have NEVER had that happen before. I didn't even scratch that hard. 3 hours until breast health.

Hoping the best for you!

Breast health Nurse Practitioner and Breast Surgeon refused to do a biopsy. Said it would be a "disservice" because it would leave a scar!! She looked me dead in the eye and said " This is not Breast Cancer. This is not going to kill you." Referred me to Dermatology and I have a 9:30am Apt tomorrow morning. Even after telling her this is all I can think about...she still refused. My ultrasound and mammogram cam back totally normal. She thinks its a skin disease, and not IBC. Here is to praying she is right.

IF, on the miniscule chance it's IBC, a regular biopsy wouldn't tell them much. It would take a punch biopsy, and guess who does those? A dermatologist! So ask the dermatologist what he/she thinks, since they can eyeball skin conditions better than anyone. But it really does NOT sound like cancer.

Hello ladies,
I saw the dermatologist, and was given 2 topical steroids to help. The mark and rash went away, but now I have hives EVERYWHERE! I also have another red mark on the same breast that I am treating with the same antibiotic. Thank you ladies for talking me down.

If you are taking antibiotics and have hives you could be having a serious allergic reaction and should call your doctor, but still doesn’t sound breast related. Sounds like a skin and allergy issue, or anxiety can cause hives in some people
