Got my diagnosis yesterday from the radiologist. It is cancer, lobular and that is all they want to tell me until I see the surgeon next Thursday. What is the legality of this? It seems to me it is my personal history and my insurance and I are paying for all this. Is this standard procedure? Tired of waiting.

you are entitled to a copy of your report. Can you physically go to them and ask for a copy?

Jestjoan, Yes, this is normal. Your surgeon will explain everything to you. Depending on what you decide your plan of care cannot start until after surgery. Your surgery will give your team more information about your cancer.

jestjoan - depending on all the tests you have had or will have, the docs may schedule chemo before surgery. In that case you should have an additional consult with a medical oncologist.
