We used to sing those all the time .

There used to be (still is?) a web site with lists and lists of songs that are famous for getting the "sound alikes" - there's a real word for that but I can't remember it.

My favorite song one is "Bernadette!" which everyone sang as "Burned to death!"

I had a chemistry professor in Boston and couldn't tell when he was saying "iron" or "ion" and I was so stupid in chemistry that I couldn't even take it in context!
