Suspect of bone mets...scaring

Options

Hi, I have bilateral mastectomy surgery three months ago.I am 30 years old. My tumor in my left breast. it was 1 cm. My mother died of breast cancer 38 years old. For this reason, my doctor suggested bilateral mastectomy. Lymph nodes are negative, no necrosis, no lymphovascular invasion. (Her2- er+ pr+ grade 1 and Ki 67 %4) I didn't take chemo and radiation theraphy.

A week later, I will go to check the doctor. He wanted some blood tests before three months. I got analys this weekis. I don't show my doctor yet, but my analysis between normal values as far as I can see..And my PET result was normal before three ago. This scan was performed before the surgery.

But there is another problem.. sometimes I feel slight pain in my lower back and legs.I'm scared of bone mets. How does it feel the pain of bone metastases?

Bone metastases don't always cause pain, usually only some problem the metastases have caused result in pain. Any bone metastases you have would have shown on the PET scan you had. With no infected nodes, it is highly unlikely you have a bone metastases. If you are taking a hormone suppressant like an AI, it is possible that is causing your pain.

Zoladex can give bone and joint pain as it mimics the effects of menopause on the body........so the most likely explanation is that it is that, especially combined with TAmoxifen

I agree with Lily. Tamoxifen and Zoladex cause joint pain for some people.

Bone mets don't cause pain by themselves. What happens is that they grow big enough to impinge on nerves and that causes pain. Or breaks.

As your PET scan was clear it's 99% that you do not have any mets.
