Another lump

Options

I discovered a new lump by accident yesterday while applying lotion. It's right where the original one was. I'm a bit freaked out right now because I've gotten to the point where I don't think about cancer much and I guess I kind of got lulled into the routine of nothing new on that front and expected it will always be that way. We recently moved 40 minutes away from my doctors' offices, to the rural mountains on our dream property. I can't believe the timing ( but we all know that cancer has excellent timing even if the lump turns out to be nothing it's still cancer history disrupting life). Anyway, I needed to come here for a little encouragement. I'll call the doctor tomorrow and get the ball rolling on figuring out what this dumb lump is.

holding your hand and in your pocket! Don’t panic. Could be fat necrosis from scaring, it could happen anytime. It happened to me. Try to take one day at time. It’s all you can do. Hugs to you ....

Definitely get imaging at a minimum. Do not let a doctor feel it and say, "I am sure it is.....". Keep us posted.

Thanks KBee, I think if I call my breast surgeon she will order imaging. The lump feels less concerning (small, hard, similar to scar tissue) now that I've gotten past the initial panic of feeling something there. It's hard to tell what I'm feeling if it's an actual lump or what, but back when I found my cancerous lump all I could tell was that the tissue felt different in the area. So I will check it out. I didn't have a chance to call today but should have time tomorrow.

I have an appointment with my Dr next Monday. Now just to deal with the waiting.

I thought I'd update. I saw my breast surgeon last week and had an ultrasound today. The lump is just calcifications due to scarring near the implant. The radiologist was very thorough, examined the lump then showed me the imaging and explained what was what on it and why it wasn't concerning. Thanks for the support here!
