It’s been going on so long
hello, I have had symptoms for a while now over 8 months those being: intense pain like burning, swollen axillary lymph nodes, itchiness on my breast and armpit, swelling, redness, spots, prominent veins dimple like texture, hot to touch. The doctors seem at a loss and confusion, no one can figure out why. I'm worried, I have had the scans but all that's shown is a breast lipoma but they say this can't be the cause. I was wondering if anyone had a breast lipoma that's caused them any symptoms I'm running out of ideas of what's this could be as they say no cancer

Ilayherewondering, this sounds very uncomfortable and upsetting. Has anyone done a biopsy of the skin, nipple or the areola? Have you had an MRI? It does seem that they need to run some additional tests. So sorry you're going through this!
-
Did they biopsy it? Seems kind of odd they wouldn’t with all of those symptoms if they didn’t know what it was for sure.
-
no they will not biopsy they say there’s no need
I asked for one before because I know it can pick up many things but they keep saying no
-
can you get a second opinion from another breat specialist? I would look into that.
-
I’ve had many visits to different breast clinics, doctors, hospitals and it’s all the same I feel so lost on what I can do I’m scared

They haven't done one no I've practically begged for a biopsy but they won't allow it. I have had an MRI which showed a lesion & enlarged nodes but after having ultrasound again it wasn't showing up but they said it was to small to charaterize. Honestly it’s broke my life apart, I’m bed ridden with this pain and I’m in tears pretty much everyday now it’s taken everything out of me
-
Do you have the MRI and US reports?
-
I don't have any ultrasound ones at every ultrasound app they just spoke about my lipoma but said it doesn’t cause these issues, but I read up that if they press on nerves they can, so I’m confused but my mri said only that my lymph nodes are enlarged but considered normal and that I have a small lesion that couldn't be characterised and they said I needed another ultrasound so I did that at my normal breast clinic and they couldn't find it

layhere - for every test that's run, you should get a written report for your files. Maybe you'll have to call back & ask or insist. Those are what you should be reading and that's what Djmammo is asking about. Also you have the right to get a disc (CD) of every test or scan to keep for your records. Sometimes they may charge a small amount, but that way you'll have the pictures to show when you go to a different doc for a second opinion.
