Multiple benign cysts but now a lump

My last US showed 152 benign cysts in my breasts. I’m due for my 6 month follow up US and last night I felt a lump in my right breast. It moves and feels like a lima bean. I should have had my follow up in October but due to having my tubes tied this past week I figured I would do that first, then get to the imaging center after I was healed. My US is scheduled for mid November. I can’t imagine that I can’t feel any one of the other 152 cysts, what is the chance that this is a cyst and not something worse. I don’t know what I’m really asking here, my head is spinning and I feel like I’m going to be sick ever since I felt the lump last night

    We're so very sorry you're here and worrying, but we're glad we're here for you. We know it can be scary to feel something off in your breast. To give you peace of mind, could you call your doctor and let them know what you've felt and ask if you can get in sooner than later? If for nothing other than to give you peace of mind.

    Please keep us posted with what you find out and try to stay calm in the meantime!

    Hi Kerri,

    I second the moderators, it's better to be safe than sorry. If anything, you'll have peace of mind knowing everything is okay, so you can get rid of the anxiety. I am in the same boat, found a lump, doctor asked me to do mammo and ultrasound. I won't lie to you, I am scared as I wait BUT I know I did the right thing to get it checked literally the next morning after I found it. Don't wait! Keep us posted <3
