Hi guys! Im a 54y.o woman menopause , no hx of breast ca or any ca in the family. I just want to know what does "There is no discrete fatty vascular hilum" means? is that good or bad Apparently I have 2.7cm irregular , indistinct margins located at my right breast.

BIRADS 5 - Highly suspicious

What are the odds me having breast ca? No history otherwise healthy 54 y.o woman menopausal

    The Radiologist Category of BiRAD 5 is an indication what the Radiologist saw is more than likely Cancer.

    Now don’t freak out. That Score is an OPINION to start with. It has to be confirmed by other Tests. Not having any Family History is meaning less and less to me every single day. It doesn’t mean much.

    There are other tests to be done. If you have a small mass that is rounded or has regular edges it’s usually benign. If your mass is an “architectural distortion” there’s reason to think it’s Cancer.

    Did you talk With your Radiologist? Or PCP? They will explained it all

    Thank you for the reply on this matter! I appreciate it a lot. I will have my appointment with my PCP tomorrow Im scared to death :’( . Im afraid for my family , especially my kids :( . Praying each day for healing . Is 2.7 relatively small or big? Have a blessed day and God bless to yo

    Your fear is normal and expected. Do something good for all of you tonight and try to make it fun.

    If your worst fear is realized, there will be plenty of time for grief. Love yourself and your Family. All are precious.

    Prayers for the very best outcome! And 2.7 cm is about an inch. No Cancer is “normal.” A 1 inch tumor is freaking huge if it’s mine! :)
