    Hello,

I found a lump in my right breast, and my armpit is swollen, and that breast has gotten much bigger than the left one. I went to my PCP and was told that I have several lumps in my breast. I have found more since then, one the size of a marble and the other a walnut. Are most breast cancers 1 lump or several lumps? Also, in January 2008 I had lots of blood tests done, thyroid and a bunch of others, would my tests have showed something wasn't right? I have a mammogram this Wednesday and an appt with a surgeon on the 30th. I also had a benign lump removed from the same breast about 5 years ago. Thanks, and I wish you all good health!!

    Dear Kristi,

You are so smart in having gone to see your PCP, and your doctor is right on the money in having sent you to see a breast surgeon and for further exams. You seem to be in very good hands, and that's the best possible thing as far as finding out what is, or is not, wrong with your breast at this time.

As others on this forum will soon be along to tell you, most breast conditions are benign. We women can have all sorts of things going on in our breasts from infections through cysts to fibroadenomas. No matter what, it's always a good idea to have things checked out by competent professionals.

We will be checking for updates from you; please let us know when you have some definitive answers.

    Hugs,

    Annie

    HI EVERYONE,

I AM 29 AND A FEW MONTHS AGO I FOUND A LUMP IN MY RIGHT BREAST. I HAD A MAMMOGRAM DONE BUT THE TECH SAID THAT IT WAS ALL NORMAL. I NEVER WENT TO MY DOCTOR TO TALK TO HER ABOUT. WELL, I JUST FELT THAT LUMP AGAIN, IT FELT BIGGER THAN THE FIRST TIME. I AM TERRIFIED AND REALLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. ASK FOR A NEW MAMMOGRAM OR JUST A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT SO SHE CAN FEEL IT. I AM AFRAID OF THE RESULTS BECAUSE I HAVE 2 KIDS AND NO ONE TO LIVE THEM WITH IN CASE SOMETHING HAPPENS.

    THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT.

THANKS FOR LISTENING AND ALSO FOR THE SUPPORT.

Thanks Annie!!! I am keeping my head up and trying not to think negative thoughts, whatever the outcome, I will win!! I will def keep you posted, thanks for listening. : )

    Denniely:

I am 34, not too much older than you are and I have 3 kids, 20mos, 9 and  15 years old. My worst fear in life is to not see them grow up and be there for them. I know exactly how you feel!!

I would go to your Dr. first, exactly what Annie said above. I don't think the tech should have been the one to say all is well. Get a copy of those pics and take them back to your Dr.

I wish you both health and happiness!!
