Lump shortly after lumpectomy

I had a lumpectomy a few weeks ago and already have a new lump. I thought it was just scarring or swelling or something but mentioned it when I went to the oncologist and he felt it and said to keep an eye on it and call if it got bigger. It hasn’t gone down and I will be keeping an eye on it, but wondered if others have had a new lump shortly after a lumpectomy? I was fully expecting it to be swelling or scarring, but the doctor didn’t make me feel at ease about it. I’m already weary of the fear of new areas of concern. My lumpectomy was for a lump that had LCIS and ADH in it.

maybe a seroma? I had one after my lumpectomy. I think it's pretty common. If it doesn't go away on it's own, it can be drained. Your Dr should have expanded his/her thinking on what it could be though.
