Has anyone developed a rash on their torso from Anastrazole? I noticed a rash across my whole torso.I have been taking the pill about a month. I am also getting tissue expander fills.

Definitely talk to your team. This sounds like a allergic reaction to me but I am not a doctor of course. People can develop a delayed allergic reaction. I am one of those people. When I was taking Zoladex I had no reaction until 2-3 weeks later. So this is a possibility. I have heard others that have ended up being allergic to A/Is. Keep us posted on what your doctor says.

Does it itch? Is it painful? Could it be Shingles

    Hi Bootscootin,

It doesn’t itch and is not painful. It is fine rash with a lot of bumps.

If it looks similar to this it could definitely be a rash due to your medication...

"Drug-induced subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (DI-SCLE) has been associated with numerous drugs, but there are limited reports of its association with aromatase inhibitor anastrozole. We report the case of a patient undergoing treatment with anastrozole for breast cancer who presented with clinical, serological, and histological evidence consistent with DI-SCLE. Her condition quickly began to improve after the use of anastrozole was discontinued and hydroxychloroquine therapy was initiated."

This is a link to a Google search for images related to "Anastrozole induced rashes".

This is a case of a woman who was on your same drug and developed a allergic reaction to it after having taken it without reaction for the previous 16 months. It does happen.

Let us know what your doctors say.

"What are the clinical features of transient acantholytic dermatosis?

Transient acantholytic dermatosis often starts quite suddenly. It is more common in winter than in summer. Characteristics include:

    • The most common sites are central back, mid chest.
    • Lesions are small red, crusted or eroded papules.
    • There may be vesicles and non-follicular pustules.
    • Lesions may bleed.
    • Although frequently intensely itchy, transient acantholytic dermatosis may cause no symptoms
    • So-called 'transient' acantholytic dermatosis can often prove persistent (chronic)."

    "Who gets transient acantholytic dermatosis?

Transient acantholytic dermatosis most often affects men over 50. It is less common in women or younger people. It is common in those who are unwell in some way but can arise in quite healthy people as well. It has been reported in association with several medications, including:

    • Anastrozole
    • Vemurafenib

    Good luck at the dermatologist.

I'm guessing if it's flesh colored it could be Lichen Nitidus which can be caused be inflammation.

Anyway I'm not a dr I just like to google and learn. Either way I sure hope whatever you have is easily treatable..
