Somehow years went by and I didn't have a mammogram. Finally went...got called back for a magnification mammogram. That showed suspicious micro-calcification in both breasts. I went for a stereotactic biopsy and now I'm waiting for the results. I'm extremely worried that this is going to be serious; I'm not in panic mode but I have to assume there is something that's not looking right. Trying to be positive but....

I located my report on my PC's patient portal

grouped coarse heterogeneous calcifications in the lower inner quadrant.

    2. Status post left breast stereotactic core needle biopsy of the 0.4 cm grouped
amorphous calcifications in the upper outer quadrant. Adequate placement of the
    coil shaped tissue marker.

Waiting is one of the hardest things to do. Remain positive, and just enjoy living in the moment. I too had microcalcifications and a biopsy and then I had to wait a week for my results. I just kept telling myself, one step at a time.

I'm so sorry.... waiting for test results is the worst, it is hard to focus on anything else. Honestly try and stay busy while waiting if you can. I found just being around people and taking about different things helped. My diagnostic process has been very long and complicated. The waiting does get a little easier with time, but the stress is still there. Hopefully the pathology results will give you definitive answers!
