Anastrozole and hives?

I've been taking Anastrozole for 3 weeks now. This past week, I had a case of hives twice (not bad, just a few welts), and swelling of my lip and cheek once. I took Benedryl and was fine, but wondering if anyone has experienced hives or swelling on this pill? I can't seem to attribute it to anything else.

    However, according to the main Breastcancer.org site's page on Arimidex (anastrozole), rash/hives may be an indication of an allergic reaction and you should contact your doctor immediately.

    hi Rhonda61, I have been on anastrozole for exactly 3 weeks and have not experienced any side effects so far. Hope you get some relief soon.

    I had the sensation of a fat tongue when I first started taking anastrozole. I believe it was an allergic reaction however it did subside so I am not completely sure.
