I just had my lumpectomy and lymph node dissection. Prior to surgery my chest ct scan showed one sclerotic lession on my V2 vertebrae. It didn’t show up on my bone scan. Does this mean it’s spread to my bones. I’m also waiting for my pathology report. I feel like it’s not going to be benign because of the breast cancer. Does anyone have this, and can share there experience

    Hi T1988,

First off, try to relax. A sclerotic lesion is very simply a thickening of the bone. In most cases, they are benign, but your onc is just being cautious. Best of luck!

I’m sorry you are going thru all this anxiety! I feel your pain as I am also waiting for the second round of scans for a spot on the rib lytic and sclerotic those words are just scary....first round X-ray and bone scan indicated possible Mets CT negative. Here’s hoping the very best for both of us and all others here!! I think we should take nowaldrons advice!

    God bless

    Hope
