I just received my pathology.. it reads ER- , PR (.41) , HER2 -

It is IDC, Grade 2. 1,2cm

My Dr said that my PR is very low... does this mean I am triple negative? Or will I respond to hormone therapy?

I am trying to prepare myself for if I'll need chemo and don't meet with the surgeon for a few more days. Would love opinions and treatments from anyone who had a similar report...

That sounds like triple negative. I don't know if they do any hormone therapy for a low level of PR. I wonder if your surgeon is going to send you on to oncology for them to decide what to do first.

Hopefully some triple negative ladies will jump in here and give you some insight!

Pathologically, I read this as ER-, PR+, HER2Neu-

From a chemo decision standpoint, have they done an Oncotype DX test? If not, ask for one. They may treat you as a triple negative with relation to chemo, but I would think you’d probably still be a candidate for hormone therapy.

That is a weird one, Melissa! That is weakly positive for PR but as far as I know the anti-hormonals target estrogen only. My *guess* is you'll be treated as TN, but maybe you could ask on a TN thread if anyone was weakly positive for PR?
