I need help understanding my MRI results. I have severe pain in my right breast so had two mammograms and one ultrasound and they found nothing. TIA

MRI results:

HISTORY:persistent right breast pain, dense breast tissue, positive family history of breast cancer. COMPARISON:None. TECHNIQUE:Imaging of both breasts was performed on a GE 1.5 Tesla magnet utilizing a dedicated bilateral breast coil. Axial T1, IR and post-Gadavist T1 weighted fat-suppressed images were obtained. 10 ml of Gadavist was injected intravenously without complication. Post processing of images was performed utilizing a CAD stream system which generated 3D and planar subtracted images and generation of kinetic enhancement curves.

FINDINGS: Clumped enhancement is located in the right lower outer breast. This has an anteroposterior extent of approximately 6 cm and a width of approximately 1 cm. The distribution is segmental extending towards the nipple. The posterior margin is 1 cm anterior to the pectoralis muscle. The findings are asymmetric in comparison to the contralateral side. This clumped enhancement has a mixed enhancement pattern on kinetic analysis. Additional tiny scattered foci of parenchymal enhancement are evident in both breasts with reassuring progressive enhancement pattern. The largest is a 4 mm enhancing focus in the left slightly outer central breast posteriorly. A tiny 4 mm cyst is located in the left lower inner breast 6 cm from the nipple. A few bilateral axillary lymph nodes are small in size and not enlarged by cross-sectional criteria.

CONCLUSION: Clumped enhancement in the right lower outer breast with segmental anteroposterior distribution. This represents suspicious abnormality. Focused sonography is recommended for further evaluation. If no correlate can be demonstrated on sonography, then MRI-guided biopsy would be recommended.
