mammogram recall
I am a the biggest worrier of all time and got the call yesterday (2 weeks after my mammogram) to come back for further testing. The nurse said there is a non specific dense area in my right breast. 18 months ago I had a cyst in that breast biopsied (after an ultrasound) which came back benign. It was a complex cyst. At that time the ultrasound lady said I had a lot of cysts. I also have dense breasts. I know worrying is irrational but I can't think of anything else. I have to wait 3 more days until the next assessment.

Hi! I'm new here but I got a call back for focal asymmetry left breast. I go this Wednesday for diagnostic testing. I'm worrying too...I feel like it's pretty normal to be worried when you get a callback. I don't think they would create a forum just for those of us who are worried if it wasn't a common theme. Lol. I thought I was losing my mind until I found this board. It's comforting to see others with the same feelings and questions as myself, while we wait. I think the waiting is hard because it's the time where your mind races to all the what ifs and different scenarios. I hope all goes well with your testing as it does mine.

I also have a mammogram recall scheduled for this week. I am a 22 year bc survivor. The anxiety is incapacitating. In two weeks I have surgery scheduled for a previous biopsy that was a hemangioma on my mastectomy side. It was benign but they want to check it out further because of the rarity. Anyone else be thru this.

yes the anxiety is incapacitating - I feel I am put off going for any more mammograms as I just can't stand it. However I know I still will but I really need to find some way to deal with this. It is like a condition all by itself! I google myself silly and just find horror stories.

Hello all. Just want to agree with everyone about this waiting. It's been two weeks for me. I go today after work for diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. This is not my first time going through this, and it doesn't get easier for me. I am traumatized by this but I know that I have to take my annual mammogram. Each time ended with good news for me. I hope for the same today. All the best to you all.

I had my follow ups today, and after 2 hours I got the great news that all is good and to come back in a year. I hope the news is as good for all of you.
