Pinched nerve or something else?
Ok so I just hit my 4 years cancer free woo hoo. But I started having this weird burning sensation over my right shoulder blade. I had a chest xray and cervical spine xray done which were normal. Urgent care Dr thinks its a pinched nerve. But I'm worried it could be brain met pushing on a nerve. My anxiety is thru the roof. I mean I'm sure someone who never had cancer wouldn't be considered for a brain tumor when they were having my symptoms but I worry about every symptom I have these days. I don't have any weakness or anything else. Just major anxiety which is messing with me.

I, too, get a burning pain in my shoulder blade occasionally and it feels like nerve pain. I am assuming it is from the mastectomy.

Nikki1986, I understand your concern and the anxiety you might be going through but dear as you must be knowing anxiety and stress would only worsen health.nobody has ever benefited from stress and you cant be an exception.just focus on you, be healthy, keep strong and yes do visit your doctor regarding the same. if there is something which should be taken care of then do not delay it by just stressing over it. i am confident it is just stress and nothing else. keep us posted about any updates. good luck and god bless.

I started having lower back pain and burning in my mid/upper back back in December and was SO freaked out. I few trips to the chiropractor and some icing in the evenings made it go away...but before I started doing that it had gone on for WEEKS. I was totally losing it. Turned out to be nothing sinister!

Have you let your MO know so he/she can weigh in on it?

Sorry for your pains, Ladies. I had lower back pain, pretty bad, starting on Aug 2. Waited two weeks and then went right to a back specialist. 4 year cancerversary on Aug 19. Doc ordered an MRI and found out today it's a slipped/herniated disc. So please keep in mind that it may be something purely mechanical. I worried about mets, also. Hoping for the best for you, and less pain too. Pain sucks.

Thanks ladies for the responses. I've been in contact with my MO and she ordered an MRI which was denied by my insurance. So now we will have to try for a CT which isn't the preferred for brain but it is what it is. Last night I almost had a panic attack- I was feeling dizzy, lightheaded short of breath. So then those symptoms again make me worried about brain. But deep down I know that was my anxiety taking over. My MO thinks that I just am having severe anxiety. I just need that scan for reassurance.
