    For the ladies who have had a lumpectomy (if that’s what it’s called that I’m having. I’m having a small Papilloma removed that’s under my nipple, kinda feels like it’s in my nipple) how does your arm feel after surgery? I know after my biopsy, my arm was sore I’m assuming from having to keep it above my head. Is it that same for after surgery?

    My arm was very sore but I had a sentinel lymph node biopsy, so that definitely causes soreness. Are you having one of those?

    No. They said my lymph nodes look fine. The Papilloma is directly under my nipple. So they are cutting around the Areola.

    Well your nipple will surely be annoyed! My surgeon cut around the outside edge of my nipple for my lumpectomy (appearance sparing surgery is what he called it) and boy did that hurt for a while. Super supportive bra was my friend.

    I have a very comfortable zip up sports bra, I was thinking of wearing after the surg

    I kept the hospital bra on for 48 hours as instructed. Then I switched to a supportive zip-front sports bra that I wore 24/7 (except for showers) for three weeks. Very little pain or even discomfort, and minimal swelling.

    Hint: if you sleep on the opposite side, stick a rolled-up sock between your boobs. It keeps gravity from causing the operated one to hang sideways and pull uncomfortably in the incision area.

    Thank you. My surgeon’s office just called me and said I have been approved through my insurance for my surgery. They asked when I wanted it done and I told her as soon as possible (ASAP lol) so I’m waiting for her to call me back with a date. She has to look and see when they can do it. Hopefully it’s soo
