Taxol before AC

Hi. I cross posted this in the weekly Taxol forum also...

I started Neoadjuvant Chemo on 7/31/19 with weekly Taxol. 2/12 Taxol treatments done. I do dose dense AC after this. Can't find a lot when searching on others who have or are doing Taxol before AC. Curious what others have experienced with regard to side effects when doing Taxol first, particularly with hair loss. I realize everyone is different but I've heard a wide range of things from online searches and a few personal anecdotes on this. From little to no hair loss for all of Taxol to ladies on weekly Taxol shaving their heads by week 2-3 due to hair loss accelerating. If anyone is out there with weekly Taxol before AC stories both regarding hair loss and other issues , please share! TIA!

    I did Taxol first, in weekly doses. By day 19, a lot of hair came out...I had a very low buzz cut...the rest came out slowly and then it all dropped with my first dose of FAC. In general, I did very well on Taxol...kept working out etc....All hel* broke loose for me on FAC...but I made it!

    Hi, I'm doing Taxol weekly, along with Herceptin and Perjeta every 3 weeks. I am almost halfway through and am just starting to lose my hair. I had my hairdresser give me a close buzz cut prior, so its easier to deal with the hair loss. I've lost my sense of taste slightly within the last couple of weeks. My worst side effect so far are loose stools, for which I take Immodium. Thankfully my side effects haven't been too bad. I try to stay hydrated and walk when I can. Hope this helps :)

    I am also doing taxol weekly and every 3 week added carboplatin added for 12 weeks, then doxorubicin and cyclophosphade every 2 weeks for 4 doses along with trial drug atezolizumab/placebo,

    I'm doing 12 weeks of taxol before AC. Just had 3rd infusion this past Friday. Hair gone, I mean gone. SE not to bad except day 4 very tired. Woke up this am with sore throat though. I'll start the mouth washes. Looks like it will be a rough day today. Trying to keep positive

    Adrie, looks like I'm on same regime as you. My hair is completely gone. After # 3 treatment came out in sheets. Now have wigs and hats. It was very hard!!! My head feels better though. No real bad SE except diarrhea day 2 after treatments and really tired day 4. I'm trying to keep upbeat. Thinking of you.
