is it normal to have pores on breasts? i have big pores on both of my breasts with dark hair growing out? theyare visible on both, but significantly bigger on the right side where i can also see more hairs. i can only really see it when i look in the mirror or wear a bra. skin doesn't feel different or lookslike it's pulling inward. went to the doctor he said that it's just pores but i've heard of many doctors missing IBC so im still worried. i'm only 18 and kinda scared.

I would believe my doctor over a bunch of people on the internet who have never examined me.

The chance of having breast cancer at eighteen, much less a very rare breast cancer, is very negligible. .

I've never seen a description of IBC that had hair growing out. I think a lot of women have some hairs growing, especially in the areola (sp?) region.

What MeliissaDallas said. And IBC doesn't show up in both breasts. Talk to your doctor about health anxiety.

Large pores is not a symptom of IBC. Swelling and peau d'orange, which is a symptom, can sometimes cause enlarged pores, but peau d'orange itself is not large pores. Peau d'orange is when the skin looks and feels similar to the peel of an orange, thick and bumpy.

I almost want to make this a sticky because so many women come here believing that large pores alone (with no other symptoms) means IBC. I don't know who is frightening them with this bad information.

It's Dr. Google that's frightening them, LoriCa. I have a daughter who has what I call "internetachondria". It's kind of like hypochondria, but with the internet supplying worst case scenarios based on (usually) mild symptoms. Drives me nuts.

    Best to all.
